Siku

This little guy is so cute!

The video was on the news this morning and it was a nice way to start the day. Today was the day to get the root canal that was started before Christmas finished. All went well and in a few weeks I'll have to get a crown. Always thought I needed one.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas or holiday break. We did. All our kids were able to come home for Christmas day and they did all the work. That was a super plus! The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, too. We bought a ham for breakfasts and sandwiches during the holiday and it came in very handy. For our dinner we had a pork roast and an eye of round beef roast with mashed potatoes, broccoli, green beans, and asparagus. There were lots of pickles and olives, too. For dessert we had a homemade carrot cake made by our youngest daughter. She used her grandmother's recipe for the cake. It was sort of like having my mil here...sort of.

Several friends dropped by in the evening to visit and share gifts. It was a very nice day and everything fit and everyone liked what they received. It probably doesn't get better than that.

How did your family celebrate the holidays?

  2. That baby polar bear is adorable.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time and I liked it that the kids did all the work. That takes all the stress out.
Here is wishing you a happy, healthy, fun filled New Year.

  3. Saw this on YouTube the other morning.

    About the Spireva...
After I read the many side effects of taking Spireva, I am really better off now that I know I never actually broke the capsule and took a dose. How much better off, I don't know, but the side effects are awful and I don't need the side effects.

  4. Balisha,
We did have a lovely holiday. Thank you for dropping by.

    Patti,
It was a real stress buster for sure and it gave the kids a chance to show off. They really don't need an opportunity for that, but anyway. :)

    Abe,
I read the specs too and have nearly driven my poor doctor nuts, because I refuse to take some of the meds she wants me to take. The drugs for osteoporosis have dredful side effects like having your jaw become necrotic and losing it. I can live w/o that.
I don't use the spireva unless the pollen is awful and I really am having a super difficult time breathing.

  5. How cute! We go to the movies and Chinatown every Christmas! We call it our "Jewish Christmas" because that's what most of the Jewish people in our community do. It's nice to get out of the house and still keep "quiet". Our family is huge and can be overwhelming (read: drunk) during the holidays, so we just sort of stick to our own thing.

Also, I can't find your email address! I merged my yahoo and gmail accounts, but I didn't do a very good job and lost my L-Z contacts. Ugh.
I do have a really good dermatologist, but all she does is recommend products that are sort of harsh and only work half the time. I went to a really good esthetician (I know that's spelled wrong!) and got a facial, and am scheduled to go back for another next week. She actually DOES something about my acne, rather than just looks at it and tells me what soap to buy. I'd rather pay her than my copay to hear the same thing from the doc!

Happy New Year! I hope this one is happy and HEALTHY!!
