Our days of heavy lifting and endless toil seem to be slowing down some.  The new "French Toast" color carpet is laid and the new wood floors in the den have been installed with my extra rug on it for now.  It is going to take some time to get rested again.  It has been somewhat tense from time to time during all this, and I'm amazed we haven't gotten a divorce yet.  Rest is helping frayed nerves and getting our things back where they sort of belong is a good direction.  My hubby is planning a garage sale and I'm all for it.  The rooms look so much larger without all that furniture.  At one point I was ready to move.  We already had everything packed up.  It just seemed like the right thing to do, but we didn't.  Sometime soon I'll be back with something to post, but right now this is going to be it for tonight.  The yard got part of my attention this evening and the bed is calling.

  1. Everytime we do major remodeling we kind of stay out of each other's way to avoid divorce court.

Right now we are project-less and running up the water bill as we are in the dry part of the the predicted spring/summer for our region. Unfortunately, the forecast seems to be self-fulfilling

    1. Yep as things start to wind down it will get better. He is going to close on his parents house next week (fingers and toes crossed) and that will take a load off his mind.

It has been dry here, too. And HOT! We are already at 95F this past week. Not looking forward to another furance summer.

  2. Doing projects together can be stressful. I've had to bite my tongue many times, but when the project is finished everything is back to normal. Love the name for your new carpet color.
    Have a nice weekend.

    1. We are trying to get some plants into the ground as our current project. As you see I'm here on the computer and not doing my part out there. *wink*

  3. Thanks so much for coming by and leaving such a sweet comment.
Well, darlin', I've got big ole feet, too, but I'm gettin' me some new boots come fall. :))

Glad you got most of the work done and are able to rest. I've been spending too much time outside, trying to whip my yard back in shape after almost loosing it due to the drought last summer. We are still in it, too. Pls. pray for rain for West Texas...we are about to blow away
