Bridging the Gap

Last fall my grandson and I "bridged the gap" by hunting pecans together. He has a tackle box to keep them in and he not only likes pecans...he loves them and cracks them with a rock. I love them, too and crack them with a pecan cracker.

He wanted me to cross over the green bridge from the main room of the tree house to the stairs, but he didn't realize I was too heavy to make that crawl. It was right after this picture was taken that I decided working was nothing compared to spending time with family. It was a real privilege to be allowed into his tree house.

  1. Oh, Amber, how sweet that he invited you into his tree house. Don't you just love those special moments with him. I can remember cracking nuts with a rock when I was a kid. I use a nutcracker, too, now! lol. Have a great weekend.

  2. I can't believe the kid has a tree house with a better view than I have in my house! ROFL! How much does that tree house rent for?

That's a great way to bridge the gap Grandma!

  5. Very beautiful picture. He's one lucky kid to have the tree house.
It's wonderful to know that you have bridged the ' biggest gap a family can suffer from'.
Thanks for sharing the wonderful experience and the photo.
