These are store bought tomatoes after they lifted the ban. It has been so hot that our plants have dried up. I guess they just played out, because we replanted at the first of July and those tomato plants are growing quite well. Hopefully we will have a nice fall crop. From what I understand a fall garden is actually better than the spring one. Hopefully we will see ours make lovely red tomatoes.
Our Ruby Tuesday host is Mary, the Teach. On Tuesdays you can post any photo you like (it must be one of your own) that contains the color RED. Your photo can contain lots of RED or a little bit of RED.
YUM! We have been getting some fabulous locally grown tomatoes the last couple of weeks! I just LOVE them!!! They don't actually love me though... I pay dearly for it. *sigh* That is a pretty and inviting picture! Where's the salt?
ReplyDeleteOur tomatoes seem to thrive in the wet weather and they have been sweet and wonderful. Almost makes the loss of the fruit and the other vegetables tolerable!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any tomatoes in our stores that look that good. These look wonderful to be store bought.
ReplyDeleteYou've NEVER "just happened" to stop at a PET store??? I sure DID! I was stopped at the red light and feeling SAD that I had not found ANY dragons... and I glanced over and there was the PET store! I thought WOW! I BET they have one!!! And they did! :) YAY! NOW I'm going out on a "certified" dragon hunt!!!
ReplyDeleteVine ripened tomatoes are my favorite snack! I have tomato plants growing on my lanai!

ReplyDeleteNice tomatoes. Good luck with the second planting.
ReplyDeleteYummy! I can't wait for mine to finally ripen.
ReplyDeleteJust think of these store-bought ones as a tideover until your Fall crop comes in. And of course when it does, we'll expect to see some examples one fine Autumn Ruby Tuesday. ;-}
